  1. It looks great, but - 58 meters of wire??? I'm so unpatient that I would never finish such a tree. And please don't tell me that you'll add leaves one by one to it!

  2. Did you really mean it took 11 episodes to make this.... oh wow! If so that's forever... and a day!
Patience of a saint as usual!

  3. yes MJ - about 58 meters. It was a 60 meter roll and there isn't much left :-)

I will be adding leaves one by one. I've cut perhaps 200 so far so a lot to go yet.

Nikki...11 Gordon Ramsey and all the world cup matches so far lol. It isn't hard but time consuming as it is so big.

I wouldn't have had the patience if I couldn't do it in front of the TV :-)

  4. I am in awe of your patience, my friend. I assume you're adding leaves, but I like its simplicity at this stage.

  5. My goodness! This is quite the tree! 200 leaves?? Pfft! That'll cover half a branch...

But it'll be a beauty when you've finished with it.

  11. And I thought that I'm the one who loves to tinker away at a miniature. Now I think YOU are this one. I'm only an imperfect copy. Great work! And have a good time to attach the leaves!

  13. Wow!! That's some recipe!!
    And a fabulous tree!!

Though if I had to sit through that much Ramsey and soccer, and had that much wire, the result would be either a noose or a hang glider to get away!! Or maybe a very twisted tree, LOL

  14. It's looking great, Jayne. And I agree with Nikki. You must have the patience of a saint. Of course, that's why you make such beautiful and realistic plants. :)

  17. Thanks everyone :-)

No it is not the whomping willow ...I am not that patient lol

It actually hasn't tested my patience at all simply as I've been able to watch Tv while doing it. Good job I want to watch all the footie and like Gordon Ramsey !

yes I will be adding leaves. Have to add the bark yet though. This is just it's bare bones. Although I have to admit to liking it as it is :-)

200 leaves wont go far no lol. Need to get cracking on those.

Nope it isn't for me. What would I do with it :-)

At the mo it is about 15 inches tall but it won't look much like it is now when I am done with it.

    And Debie...yes I know you know - shhhhhh :-)

  18. I am really looking forward to seeing the final tree. It's amazing what you can do while watching the football.
I have had to move my working area into the dining room so that I can watch and work at the same time!
I have not, however, made anything as creative as this!

  25. Thanks everyone....glad you all like it. Have to say I am really loving this one so far.

It will take a lot of work...and a lot of TV watching but while the world cup is on I am happy. I can justify sitting down and watching it all as after all I am working huh :-)

No plans for a whomping willow yet....someone will be doing a much better job of that than me soon :-)

  27. This tree is fantastic. Thanks to your help, I made a little bush and that took me a long time. And I also added the leaves one by one and it took a lot of patience so I am really amazed at your tree. I don't know if I would want to tackle a tree!
