Yup you read that right 4D.
So what is 4D ? Well the film will be shown in 3D and on top of this there will be a whole bunch of additional sensory effects going on all around you in the cinema....things like wind, snow, fog, and much more.
How cool does that sound :-) And it is showing near me :-)
The only downside is that it is in Hollywood and I will generally do anything to stay out of L.A. ....but this is soooo tempting.
WOW we've seen it in 3D, its my daughters fav film. As we are in the UK though i can't see us getting the chance. Hope you manage it, it sounds cool Sara x:o)
ReplyDeleteWOW,we've seen it in 3D its my daughters fav film, As we are in the UK though i doubt we will get the chance for 4. Hope you get to see it, it will be cool. Sara x:o)
ReplyDeleteoh you must go Jayne, that sounds fantastic! Lola wants to come with you!!!!!!lol Kate xxx
ReplyDeleteSara my Brother still lives in the Uk and says he's seen a 4D film so you never know :-)
ReplyDeleteI think we will probably end up going...it is just Hollywood I don't like.
ReplyDeleteAnd as much as I'd love to take Lola anywhere HW is not somewhere I'd take a kid.
Love Tim Burton films and this sounds so fun....too bad I live so far away. I hope you decide to go, have fun!!!
ReplyDeleteGaye =)
Tim Burton rocks! Go, go, go!!
ReplyDeleteI remember being at an ordinary movie theatre a long time ago seeing 'The English Patient', and they were playing with the air conditioning to mimic hot desert, cold night-time etc, to match the scenes. It was done very subtly, I don't think many people realised. Very effective!!
yeah Gaye that would be a bit of a drive for you :-)
ReplyDeleteI thought we were heading up your way in a couple of weeks but we are only going as far North as San Francisco as Mick can't take too much time off work.
Glenda i think we will go, go, go lol I've been pondering it all day and Hollywood or not I don't think I want to miss this.
ReplyDeleteThat was cool with the English Patient. I've often thought they should do something like this with the War of the Worlds stage show as well.
Sounds very cool. You'll have to let us know what it was like. Hope it's great!
ReplyDeleteOh I will let you all know :-) Shan't be taking my camera there though :-(
ReplyDeleteAhhh, so that's 4D. We have that here at a theme park in Sentosa for Pirates of The Caribbean where our chairs rock and they throw water at you :):). I think something similar is available at the Universal Studio as well :). I avoid theme parks so have never seen these films. I am glad you are going.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of English Patient , i remember the scene where Juliette Binoche was hoisted up in a pulley in a private art tour of frescoes in a bombed out church. Now that will be fun to do in 4D!!!
4-D sounds fun...the whole experience eh? BUT, I hate horror movies (cartoon or otherwise). Now if it were "UP" or "Wall-E" I'd be clamouring to get in....
ReplyDeleteI'm very jealous! That's one of my favourite movies ever and 4D sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteI use to live in Pomona.I only visited HW a few times. For something like that I would go.Makes me miss SoCal.If you do, have a blast.
