And now for a laugh

So I thought I'd try and make some flowers like those in the new Alice movie.
I thought I could combine my flowers and practice my sculpting.

I need to keep practicing....a lot lol.

  3. Jayne are you using a mix of paper and clay? I think with these flowers the hint of a face works well . I would make the petals from fimo as the will blend in better :O)

  5. You're supposed to laugh lol

I am not sure what scale they are Kim. In the movie they are bigger than Alice but I've only seen pics so don't know how big Alice is lol.

The top one is about an inch and the bottom one just a bit bigger.

    Nice cop out Michelle lol

Debie the top one is sculpey that I tried to paint but it looks like cak...too shiny. The bottom one is paperclay.

The ones in the movie have very exaggerated faces which is what I was trying to do.

I think they need to be all clay as well so they blend more but you know me and clay lol.

    I will try though :-)

Kat I need to see the movie too...it'll be out on DVD soon I bet.

  6. Well, I'm not laughing!

I think this is a fabulous idea, I really like the top one.

Is this from painting the roses red? I've yet to see this movie...

  7. Cheers Dale :-)

I am not sure what part of the movie it is from...I've not seen it either.

I don't think it is painting the roses red though as there are flowers of all colors in the scene. I think they might be the singing flowers ?

I have done the painting the roses red though..it is on this blog somewhere..but that was just the rose tree for a fellow blogger.

  8. Hahahahahahahah...now that was out of politeness. Woman, I think you may have found your niche. When I first saw the floozies, I thought, hmmm, hard fight between that and the blossom bonsais but now, I know , this is the combo you may truly be the absolute master of because you are combining your two loves. In 1:12 or even 1 inch, these flowers can be incredibly intricate. For a 1st try, these are superdociousfabumarveloso!

  9. Considering how tiny your flowers are Jayne, I think you've done a wonderful job. xx
